"Whenever we're driven to reach out and create something from nothing,
whether it's something physical like a chair, or more temporal and ethereal,
like a poem, we're contributing something of ourselves to the world. We're
taking our experience and filtering it through our words or our hands, or our
voices or our bodies, and we're putting something in the culture that didn't
exist before." From 'Every Tool's A Hammer' by Adam Savage.
I've spent my life with animals and things - training the critters and building
the things. Of course, training is just another form of building. Teaching a
horse or dog how to do something new is exactly the same as building something
new. When you're done, there is something in the world that wasn't there before.
That has always struck me as a good and valuable way to spend my time.
Building and creating is my passion. Each piece that you see on these pages is
unique in some way. I build bits, spurs and "art" pieces. Please feel free to
contact me through this site, or my page on Facebook - Longhorn Ironwork. I look
forward to creating something unique and meaningful for you.
